Leana has been cured by Lucy of her vampirism and is now readjusting to living as a human. They work together to develop cures for the vampire disease in hopes of restoring humanity. However, Clemence, a vampire, infiltrates their base and confronts Leana, who has reverted back to her human form. Clemence tries to seduce Leana into becoming a vampire again but is denied by Leana, who offers a cure instead. Disappointed in what Leana has become, Clemence vows to bring her back with Lucy’s help. Tragically, Clemence has already attacked and infected Lucy, the fate of humanity now rests on Leana alone.
