Heartbroken after Orsi leaves her for another woman, Victoria contemplates suicide. A glass of poison sits on the table, a gentler option than the large kitchen knife nearby. She hesitates before finally swallowing the bitter liquid.
Her stomach erupts in fire as agony consumes her. Determined to end her suffering, she takes the knife and performs harakiri, stabbing herself repeatedly until she lies drowned in blood. Orsi arrives just too late to save her beloved.
