Are You One of Them | Patient’s attack on doctor ends in tragedy

A mentally unstable patient named Mr. Bottom is brought in to see Dr. Delacroix by an orderly due to his erratic behavior and highly stressful day. He appears paranoid, fearing that someone is pursuing him. Cuffed to a wheelchair with the doctor holding the keys, Mr. Bottom becomes aggressive, suspecting Dr. Delacroix of being “with them.” The physician attempts to calm him down so he can be given a sedative but he is too agitated. A sudden attack leads to an altercation where he hits her, knocking her unconscious. He then manages to free himself from the restraints, and while she regains consciousness, he forces himself on her by raping and choking her. This ends in the patient’s death, with Mr. Bottom accusing Dr. Delacroix of being associated “with them”.
