Casca Zahara’s quiet reading is shattered by her gardener, Brandon Cruz’s incessant whistling. Irritated, she douses him with water from her balcony before angrily demanding he stop. Brandon retaliates by kicking a stone, revealing a glowing wooden totem. Upon touching it, the world freezes. He commands it again, and time resumes its flow. Now empowered to manipulate time, Brandon plots a deliciously devious revenge on the oblivious Casca for her public humiliation.
